Frome Running Club raises funds for Dorothy House

On Wednesday, 1 August, Frome Running Club held a fund-raising event for the charity Dorothy House. Around 35 of the town’s local runners met at club Chairman Dave Perrett’s house after the usual training session on Wednesday evening. Dave and his family put on a generous buffet of food, cake and drinks for the hungry runners and collected donations from everyone present. In total, the club was able to raise £ 420 for Dorothy House. “We usually have social meet-up in one of the pubs in town after training on the first Wednesday of every month,” explains Chairman Dave Perrett. “This month, we decided to do something different and see if we could raise some money for a great cause. Dorothy House is a charity close to the club’s heart, as it is currently supporting a long-standing club member and friend to many. Because of this, we wanted to do something to support this fantastic charity, and we’re already planning further events to raise as much as we can”. Frome Runni
