Frome Running Club Race Report May 2022
Stourhead was the setting for a picturesque 10km trail run on Saturday 14 th May. The race starts and finishes under the Stone Arch of the driveway to the house and takes in Stourton village, the lakes and the woodland area outwith the lake. Three Frome runners participated that day, Ted Sprules, Andrew Smallbone and Sarah Smallbone, with Ted leading the way, finishing in a very respectable 44 minutes 42 seconds, earning him first place in his age category. Ted Sprules, Sarah Smallbone, Andrew Smallbone after the Stourhead 10km Fiona Norris rose to the challenge of the North Devon Coast challenge which consisted of 3 marathons in 3 days – 78.6 miles! The route starts near Hartland Point and finishes at Porlock Bay, passing famous towns and villages such as Croyde Bay, Lynton, Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the Valley of the Rocks.
